Dave, I'm blaming you!

Yes, that's right. I'm blaming you, Dave, for sucking me into the crack addictionesque thing that calls itself MySpace. Thanks a lot. :o) Now I have an excuse to spend my time on the internet until 3 AM.

So it's not entirely Dave's fault. Ryan, Kim and Doug (3 of my siblings) all have pages too. And Mel and Jana both have one too! It's been cool to keep in touch with everyone that way. I do feel incredibly old when I'm there though. I've been able to find friends from high school, family that lives far away and friends that live just around the corner. Majority of the people on there are at least 10 years younger than me.

On a side note, when did it become cool to not use punctuation and captial letters? And when did incorrect grammar become the thing to do? I keep finding myself squinting and staring at the screen trying to translate what they are saying. Like this:

"wuz up? hows skool going? sry i havent talked to u in a while. plz 4give me. ill talk to u l8r. kewl? luv ya!"

TRANSLATION:
"What's up? How's school going? Sorry I haven't talked to you in a while. Please forgive me. I'll talk to you later. Is that cool? I love you!"

Does anyone have one of those english-teenage dictionaries? :o)

Here's why...

When I posted the "For discussion..." post about God's will, I had a particular thing in mind. My husband, John and I have had a possible opportunity come up to help out with a church plant that will launch in 2008. 2007 will be the planning/fund raising year. We aren't totally sure what our roles are yet. We are having dinner with our friends who are leading this project on October 21st to brainstorm and ask questions. I guess I'm looking for clarity on what we are suppose to do. We are leaning toward saying yes to help them. I do have a list of questions (ie. doctrine, when/where, what we need to do, etc.) Plus, this will be the first church plant for either of us. John would love to finish his seminary education but the money isn't really working out for that. Anyway, all of this kind of came out of the blue one day. I'd appreciate any prayers. Thanks for listening...er...reading! ;o)
